So The Axe packed his bags and set sail for Los Angeles, where he landed a starring role in the film Gone in 60 Seconds.Dowie was gone in 18 days.Jones told talkSPORT: Iain Dowie was lurking in the background, doing a bit of mischief, and he ended up getting the job. Thats when I ended up coming out here [to Los Angeles].I got that job, Gone in 60 Seconds’, with Nicolas Cage and Angelina Jolie. But while most people would take the bright lights of Hollywood over a relegation dogfight, Jones wishes he had a crack at management. When asked whether he regrets never coaching, he said: Massively. I actually came out here and set up a semi-pro team called the Hollywood All-Stars and I really loved it.I loved coaching the lads. I loved the organising. I loved it from a tactical perspective on the bench. We passed it around a bit as well, we didnt just lump it!
